Ishmael: "Hey, Mom, didn't Franklinstein invent electricity?"
Me: "Hmm?" Because, I'm on the computer and I'm paying him no attention.
Ishmael: "Didn't Benjamin Franklinstein invent electricity?"
Me: "I'm not sure." which is my "safe answer" for when I'm not paying attention.
Kelsea: "MOM! I can't believe you said you didn't know!! Ishmael, it's Ben Franklin. Not Franklinstein." She shook her head in disbelief.
What. Ever.

Please Take Note

Forget that I cut my child out of the picture and you can still see his ear. This is important. Why is it by the end of the day I accumulate more spoons than my children lose in the yard? We were only about 1/2 hour into our school day, it was barely 9:00 and here I have 2 spoons. Why? What is so hard about taking my spoon to the kitchen when I get a refill. I don't forget the coffee cup. Why the spoon? It's really not like I have to take the spoon with me. I could always just leave the creamer and the spoon on the counter. Why must I drive myself insane? Why why why?!?!
Toy Story
So this morning I was reading aloud to the kids, drinking my coffee, and minding my own business, when a ninja pops up over the table attempting to steal my peppermint mocha goodness.
I needn't have feared, because Wolverine soon saved the day!

Whew! Now I can rest easy knowing that my peppermint mocha goodness is safe.

What does read aloud time look like at your house?

Leon's Truck
Leon came home this weekend. He's all finished with his training and testing. He was assigned a truck. We were able to clean it up and make it more comfortable for him.
We cleaned the mattress (as best we could) and made his bed up when it was dry. My mom made Leon this quilt. It is still his favorite even though she's made others for him.

We hung up his clothes and stocked his shelves and fridge with food.

The kids really like hanging out in Daddy's truck. They spent alot of time there this weekend.

Saying goodbye was so hard this morning, for everyone.

*sigh* He'll be home again soon.

Jeremiah Says...
Jeremiah: "I need a half a pill."
Me: "What pills?"
Jeremiah: "The blue ones that Daddy gives me. I don't know what they make you do but I need one."..."What do those pills make you do?"
Me: "They help get the mucus out of your lungs."
Jeremiah: "Oh."..."Mom, I have lots of muquos in my lungs. Can I have a blue pill now?"

Leon's Real Birthday
So we were not sure whether or not we were going to be able to spend the day with Leon. So we had the cake and ice cream shebang last weekend. This weekend we went and spent the night in the hotel with him...and had ice cream.
Dairy Queen to be exact.

:-P Fun was had by all. :-P
